The Ulcer

Ryan is riding in the Ulcer today.  It's a 111 mile bike ride around Utah Lake (see map below).  I'm not sure how much fun it will be with a hurting knee and toe, but whatever.  GO RYAN!

Sea World

So Ryan and I thought it would be fun to go on a trip before the baby was born, so over the last holiday we decided to take a trip to Sea World.  We found some tickets that would allow us to see Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and the Wild Animal Park for $99.00.  So off we went with our some of our friends.
Sea World

If you can see my face in this last picture that should tell you how much pain I was in by the end of the day.  My feet were killing me.

We spent some time at the beach and watching the sea lions there.

Moab's Christmas Light Festival Parade

We went to Moab this Saturday with some of our friends.  This weekend was Moab's Christmas parade.  This is the second time we've seen this parade.  When we went down to Moab for our Honey Moon three years ago we came upon this parade when we parked on Main Street to go eat.  When we came out of the restaurant we couldn't get out because the parade was going on.

I don't know if you can read the words in this picture, but they say, "Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jesus All the Way."  I thought that was really awesome.  Life doesn't get better than the Christmas parade in Moab.
We all agreed though that we felt like we were intruding on something private.

To the right is the last canoe in a ling line of canoes.  You can't see it, but there are a few people paddling in there.

Man we love Moab!

Cruise and Disneyland

Recently we went on a cruise to Mexico with Ryan's grandparents. It was really fun. I wonder what this monkey is smoking? Anyway, we went on Carnival this time instead of Royal Caribbean. We really enjoyed the free hot chocolate and ice cream. I personally really hated the day at sea! I was sick the whole day even after taking motion sickness medicine. Other than that the cruise was about the same as it always is. The food was the same and the towel animals were pretty much the same (though we didn't have a monkey this time).

This is one of my favorites

They also had a Golf Course on the ship which was pretty fun. The rocking made it hard to aim. Not that I can aim the ball anyway. I think the rocking ship helped because I actually made a hole in one on this course.

They also had a water slide on the ship and we saw some awesome botanical gardens on Catalina Island.

How many Mickey Mouse heads can you see in this picture?

We also stopped at Disneyland on the way home. We have never been there during Halloween time before, but it was really cool. The new fireworks show was especially cool.

This is at the front entrance. It's a little hard to see in the dark.

My Husband the Male Super Model

While driving down I 15 you may have noticed a number of new Bike Peddler Billboards. Yes, in case you were wondering, that is Ryan up there. Ryan is currently in the process of acquiring an modeling agent so that he can become the next Derek Zoolander.

Yellowstone

Howdy all!
Ryan and I went to Yellowstone for the weekend with two of our friends Kyle and Allison Larsen. It rained the whole time off and on, but we still had a lot of fun riding road bikes through some of it (we rode 33 miles in a few hours) and hearing coyotes in our camp (No I don't know how to spell that). We saw some stuff and mostly tried not to get wet, but it was fun. I don't feel like I got enough of a vacation though. Time for Disneyland! Anyway, here are a few pictures.
This is us in front of an awesome waterfall. The picture really doesn't do it justice.

This is us at Old Faithful. It was... nice. That's really all I can say about it.

On our bike ride we road through a herd of buffalo. You can't really see them upclose here, but they were right next to us on both sides of the road and everywhere. There were also cars parked everywhere. This was much more exciting on a bike than in a car.

Here is Kyle and Allison in front of one of the many geysers that we saw. Kyle is making a mad face because he is hangry.
There was a lot of rain and a lot of driving... oh and this morning when we woke up we heard a pack of coyotes fighting in our camp sight. It was awesome. I wanted to jump out of the tent in my bare feet and go watch them, but sleep over took me before I could get out of the bag.

The Ragnar and Other Exciting Adventures

Hello all!
So on the 19th I ran the Ragnar Wasatch Back. It's a over night relay with 12 people. I think it's supposed to take 24 hours, but it took my team 30:55 or there abouts. We didn't take a camera, but Ryan snapped a few pictures on my phone. Here they are.
This is a picture of me running across the street in Park City. It was the last leg of the race and boy was I tired! It was also pouring really cold rain so I was soaked. I am wearing Ryan's running shorts from High School though (they are lucky).

Align CenterThis is me running up the last hill before the finish line. I am trying to smile, but it's difficult because this is where I see that Ryan, my mom and dad, and some of Ryan's family have showed up to cheer me on and I start to cry. (I'm such a baby sometimes).

Here is a picture of me and my team at the end of the race after they gave us our medals (which they give to everyone I am sure because we came in 45th to last :))
It was a fun race and I'm glad I did it.

Now for some other interesting things: At church on the 21st we were told that on that day at 5:45 if you stood an egg on it's end it would stay up because of the summer solctice or whatever. So we tried it. No one could get it to work for a really long time, but in the end we got two up. It may be just a freaky weird thing, but if anyone can get an egg to stand up like that any day of the week you let me know.
