Yellowstone

Howdy all!
Ryan and I went to Yellowstone for the weekend with two of our friends Kyle and Allison Larsen. It rained the whole time off and on, but we still had a lot of fun riding road bikes through some of it (we rode 33 miles in a few hours) and hearing coyotes in our camp (No I don't know how to spell that). We saw some stuff and mostly tried not to get wet, but it was fun. I don't feel like I got enough of a vacation though. Time for Disneyland! Anyway, here are a few pictures.
This is us in front of an awesome waterfall. The picture really doesn't do it justice.

This is us at Old Faithful. It was... nice. That's really all I can say about it.

On our bike ride we road through a herd of buffalo. You can't really see them upclose here, but they were right next to us on both sides of the road and everywhere. There were also cars parked everywhere. This was much more exciting on a bike than in a car.

Here is Kyle and Allison in front of one of the many geysers that we saw. Kyle is making a mad face because he is hangry.
There was a lot of rain and a lot of driving... oh and this morning when we woke up we heard a pack of coyotes fighting in our camp sight. It was awesome. I wanted to jump out of the tent in my bare feet and go watch them, but sleep over took me before I could get out of the bag.

The Ragnar and Other Exciting Adventures

Hello all!
So on the 19th I ran the Ragnar Wasatch Back. It's a over night relay with 12 people. I think it's supposed to take 24 hours, but it took my team 30:55 or there abouts. We didn't take a camera, but Ryan snapped a few pictures on my phone. Here they are.
This is a picture of me running across the street in Park City. It was the last leg of the race and boy was I tired! It was also pouring really cold rain so I was soaked. I am wearing Ryan's running shorts from High School though (they are lucky).

Align CenterThis is me running up the last hill before the finish line. I am trying to smile, but it's difficult because this is where I see that Ryan, my mom and dad, and some of Ryan's family have showed up to cheer me on and I start to cry. (I'm such a baby sometimes).

Here is a picture of me and my team at the end of the race after they gave us our medals (which they give to everyone I am sure because we came in 45th to last :))
It was a fun race and I'm glad I did it.

Now for some other interesting things: At church on the 21st we were told that on that day at 5:45 if you stood an egg on it's end it would stay up because of the summer solctice or whatever. So we tried it. No one could get it to work for a really long time, but in the end we got two up. It may be just a freaky weird thing, but if anyone can get an egg to stand up like that any day of the week you let me know.

Where Do the Days Go?

Okay... so... went to Disneyland a little while ago and got some good pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.

This is actually in California Adventure, but it's cute. We stole the idea from our friends.

This is Ryan and Anna on the carousel
We also went to Strawberry Reservior over Memorial Day. It rained the entire time we were there and we only got one picture because I didn't check the card before we left and it was full.
So... here is our one picture from Strawberry.
Or not. The picture didn't take after all I guess. Oh well... just know that we went there and it rained the whole time. We did have a lot of fun though. We got a 4 season tent that works really really well. We stayed really dry.

"Business Trip" AKA Moab

Well, my blog is not nearly as cool as Joe and Lindsey's is, but I'm going to keep going any way. In a matter of about 15 minutes we will be on our way to another Moab trip. This time it's actually a business trip. Ryan works at a bike shop in American Fork (Bike Peddler). Most if not all of you already know about this. Every year the bike shop takes its customers on a biking trip. Last year we went to St. George and this year they chose Moab. I figured if Ryan gets to go I should get to go too so I am going. A few of our friends are going to be there and I am bringing my newest friend "Camera". Now if I can just remember to use it everything will work out for the best.
It seems like everyone around me is getting pregnant (Not that its a bad thing). My sister-in-law Traci is pregnant, my sister-in-law Lindsey is pregnant, my little sister Julie is pregnant, my older sister Becca just finished being pregnant...that's a lot of pregnant. I just thought it was interesting that everyone is getting pregnant all at once. I wonder how many pregnant women there are right now?

So back to Moab. We will be there until Sunday. (That is when the business trip is over). I hope to have some semi-sweet(ha ha ha) pictures to post and I am also hoping to have at least a little time to post those "chocolate chip" pictures. Wow I am just cracking myself up today my ADD meds must not be working (not really a big surprise)

So for any of you who didn't know I am ADD. I am not afraid to admit it pretty much anyone I meet knows that I am within the first 30 minutes of knowing me(either I tell them or they can just tell). Well I just got new insurance at the beginning of February and for some reason I didn't get the cards with my insurance informtaion on them in time. I ran out of medication and didn't have any legal way to get more so I just didn't take it for a while. I actually felt pretty good. That doesn't usually happen when I stop taking my medicine (I'm usually a wreck). So when I finally got my medicine I was pretty excited, but I wondered if I really needed to take it because I was doing so well on my own. Well I decided I better start taking it anyway and lo and behold it didn't act like it used to and I was worse off then I was without it. I thought maybe I just needed to get used to it again so I waited a little while. After a few days it still wasn't doing so hot so I started experimenting with my diet (because that always makes a difference). None of the usual stuff was working so I just sort of stopped worrying about it (as ADD people will) I'm still taking my medicine and its still sort of working and I a fine with that. It works off and on which means I also work off and on.

Anyway, enough rambling no one really cares about my medical problems. :)

I will post some pictures when we get back from Moab.

by the way does anyone know anyone who wants to buy a car? Make me an offer. Here is a picture.

Ragnar

Okay. No pictures this week (sorry). People have been asking me what we are up to (well they are telling me I need to update my blog) so here is the update. Ryan and I have been to Moab 2 times in the last 3 weeks. It's so fun. We went mountian biking with some of our friends both times.
My friend Violet is an excelletn mountain biker. It's pretty fun.
Here is some more news that I keep forgetting to tell everyone. My company has 2 Wasatch Back Ragnar teams and they asked me to race.
Ragnar is a 24 hour team relay race sort of like 24hrs of Moab but for runners. I am not a runner, but it has given me motivation to get out and exercise and that is good for me. It starts in Logan and goes to Park City. I am actaully excited for it even though I won't be any good.
That will take place on June 20th so I have a little bit more time.
Anyway, that's all for now.
PEACE!

Cyclocross Racing

Ryan did a cyclocross race last weekend. It's like riding an off road course on a road bike with knobby tires. Here are some pictures.

Okay so here are some pictures from our Logan trip. We went to visit Joe, Lindsey, Ari, and K-so over Halloween.

Visiting Logan

Hello, I know I know I haven't been keeping up very well, but I just got a new camera and I am hoping that will help me remember to keep up on my blog.
So over Halloween Ryan and I went to Logan to visit Joe, Lindsey, Ari and K-so.
Ryan had never been there before and I love Logan so I really wanted him to see it.
He liked it and it's always fun to visit the Joe and Lindsey Wilsons. It's really fun to visit all the Wilsons but we see Joe and Lindsey the least. Well maybe Becca and Tim are tied.(I guess they are technically Jones' though.
Anyway, I have some pictures from our trip, but I don't have them with me at work so I will have to post them when I get home.
Yet another boring post, but what do you do?
Don't forget to vote (really a note to myself since I have a hard time finding time)
